Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten wants to remain at the Bundesliga club this summer, according to his agent.

The agent of Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten has revealed that his client wants to remain with the Bundesliga champions.

The 35-year-old, who has spent seven years at the club, is yet to agree terms on a new deal with his current contract expiring at the end of the season.

He has strongly been linked with moves to both Juventus and Monaco, but Christophe Henrotay has now suggested that the German will remain at the Allianz Arena.

He told Calciomercato.it: "I can confirm that Daniel is very appreciated in Europe, especially in Italy and France, but his priority is a new contract with the German side.

"He's a great player and several clubs like him but Bayern Munich remains our first choice."

Van Buyten has made 14 appearances for the club this season.
