Midfielder Ivan Perisic is reportedly edging closer to a move to Bayern Munich after being left out of Inter Milan's squad to take on Valencia this weekend.

Bayern Munich have reportedly moved closer to securing the signature of Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The German club appear keen to strengthen their options in wide areas after missing out on Manchester City's Leroy Sane earlier this summer, switching their attention to the Croatian international.

The Daily Mail report that the 30-year-old has been left out of Inter's squad which has travelled to the Mestalla for their pre-season clash with Valencia this afternoon, suggesting a move away from the San Siro could be edging closer.

According to the report, Bayern are hopeful of signing Perisic on loan with an option to buy for a fee of £28m.

Should the move materialise, it would see the player return to the Bundesliga after previous spells with Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund.
