Clement Chantome: 'Bordeaux move a turning point in my career'

Clement Chantome claims that his move to Bordeaux can be a turning point in his career after leaving PSG to find more regular football.

Clement Chantome has claimed that he is treating his move to Bordeaux as a fresh start as he looks to find his best form after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

The 27-year-old left the Ligue 1 champions earlier this week after finding recent opportunities limited at a club where he made over 200 appearances, but he is upbeat about joining Willy Sagnol's squad.

"It was complicated to leave the club where I spent 15 years of my life but this is a turning point in my career," Chantome told France Bleu.

"It is a new adventure and a great new challenge. I hope it will revive me. The club really wanted me and the coach expressed this wish to me."

Chantome could make his Bordeaux debut against Guingamp on Sunday afternoon.
