Bordeaux failed to convert their dominance into victory after stumbling to a 1-1 draw at home with Ajaccio.
The hosts carved out plenty of goalscoring opportunities but wasteful finishing and great goalkeeping kept the scores level for much of the game.
Guillermo Ochoa made two smart saves from headed efforts in the second half, first from Michael Ciani and then from Ludovic Sane.
Ajaccio then had a header of their own saved when Carl Medjani was denied by Cedric Carrasso.
