Eddie Howe: 'First Premier League win means everything for Bournemouth'

Eddie Howe admits his relief that Bournemouth have claimed their first Premier League win, following their 4-3 victory over West Ham United this afternoon.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has expressed his relief following his side's first Premier League victory against West Ham United this afternoon.

The Cherries edged a seven-goal thriller at Upton Park, thanks to a goal from Marc Pugh and a Callum Wilson hat-trick.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Howe said: "The game turned in the second half but we managed to find the confidence to go again.

"It means everything to get our first win. I am sure there were many doubters.

"The psychological benefits of today will be huge on the players. It was so important."

Bournemouth take on Hartlepool United in the League Cup on Tuesday.
