Brentford have confirmed that Ivan Toney has tested positive for Covid-19, ruling him out of several games.

Brentford have confirmed that Ivan Toney has tested positive for Covid-19 recently.

The striker has missed out on the fixture against Leeds United because of that, with Thomas Frank being unable to select him as he is now isolating.

Toney has to undergo a 10-day period of quarantine, as is the case with anybody who tests positive at the moment due to the rules in place by the government.

The 25-year-old will miss out on Brentford's upcoming game with Watford and it is unclear whether or not he will be available for the fixture against Manchester United, which could depend on a negative test.

Toney has been a key part of Frank's team so far, having played 14 games so far, with the fixture against Leeds United being the first match he has missed.

So far this season the forward has found the back of the net four times in the Premier League while scoring once in the EFL Cup.
