The summer transfer window has now closed, with Chelsea among the busiest clubs and biggest spenders in world football.
After two windows without signing a single player, the Blues made up for lost time by splashing well over £200m on the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva. Attention will now switch to the January window and whether Chelsea will invest heavily again.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Friday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Liverpool 'given green light to move for David Alaba'
Liverpool have reportedly identified Bayern Munich defender David Alaba as a leading target.
The 28-year-old remains a key figure for treble-winning Bayern but his contract is due to expire next June, and the latest round of talks over an extension are believed to have broken down.
As it stands, Alaba would be free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, while he could also potentially leave the Allianz Arena at the start of 2021 for a reduced fee.
A number of clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus, were linked with the Austria international during the recent transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have now identified Alaba as a leading target, with the Reds given the green light to launch a move in January.
Jurgen Klopp's side currently have severe issues in the middle of their defence with Fabinho joining Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip on the sidelines.
Alaba has played the majority of his career as a left-back but has since developed into a central defender, with all seven of the Austrian's outings this season coming in that area of the field.
Chelsea, Manchester United 'monitoring Sebastian Walukiewicz'
Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly both keeping an eye on the process of Cagliari defender Sebastian Walukiewicz ahead of possible bids.
The 20-year-old joined Cagliari from Polish side Pogon Szczecin in 2019 and has made 21 appearances for the Italian club in all competitions since his arrival.
The centre-back has played every minute of his team's five Serie A matches this season, meanwhile, having secured a starting role for Eusebio Di Francesco's side.
According to 90min, both Chelsea and Man United scouted Walukiewicz while in action for Poland against Italy in the UEFA Nations League earlier this month.
The report claims that scouts, who were also present from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund, were especially impressed by the central defender's aerial ability.
Walukiewicz still has two and a half years remaining on his current deal with Cagliari, while the Italian side also have the option of extending the agreement by a further 12 months.
