Chelsea's Premier League match against Crystal Palace this Saturday will reportedly come too soon for striker Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea will reportedly be without striker Alvaro Morata for Saturday's Premier League match against Crystal Palace due to a hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old had initially hinted on social media that he would be back in action after the international break, but it seems that this weekend's trip to Selhurst Park has come too soon.

According to The Express, Blues manager Antonio Conte hopes to recall his striker for next Wednesday's Champions League group game against Roma.

Morata suffered a Grade Two hamstring injury during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City less than a fortnight ago.

The Spain international, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid in the summer, has scored seven goals and produced two assists in all competitions so far this season.
