John Terry to make Chelsea return against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday

Chelsea captain John Terry will return from injury in Monday's Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed that John Terry will return to action in Monday night's Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The club captain has spent the last six weeks on the treatment table with hamstring and Achilles problems, but will make an appearance at Stamford Bridge in three days' time.

Gary Cahill could also return to the pitch after taking part in full training this week.

"They have both participated in this week's training," Hiddink told reporters in Friday's press conference. "They are okay to come into the first 18.

"It's good to have them back, because John was out for a longer period because of injury. Gary a little bit the same."

The Blues are ninth in the Premier League table, 12 points adrift of a European spot with four games left to play.

Chelsea can all but end Tottenham's hopes of winning the title if they beat Spurs on Monday.
