Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo applauds captain John Terry for showing his "leadership qualities" against Arsenal.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has praised defender John Terry for his performance against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 31-year-old put in yet another impressive display at the back, as the Blues won 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

It was Terry's first match since he was found guilty by the FA of using racist language towards Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand last season.

"I think it was the right choice from my side to pick him," said Di Matteo.

"He showed his leadership qualities and what a good defender he is for the team."

Chelsea remain at the top of the league table with 16 points from six matches.
