Jose Mourinho proud of Chelsea's dominance

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that it hasn't been easy to maintain the lead in the Premier League title race since the opening day of the season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has indicated that he is proud of the way in which his side have dominated the Premier League this season.

The Blues have been top of the standings since the opening day of the campaign, and after reaching a position where they only require three points from their remaining four games, Mourinho believes that his team deserve praise for their achievements since August.

The 52-year-old told reporters: "As always, Chelsea are very strong in every record - goals scored, home, away, the number of goals we concede.

"By every perspective, you find a very strong Chelsea. We are top of the league since day one, and in modern football, it's something very difficult to do.

"There are countries where it's common domination, such as with Bayern Munich, Celtic, Basel and Olympiacos. There are countries where the domination is there years and years. I don't think this country is a good example of that."

If Chelsea can defeat Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, Mourinho would secure his third league title at Stamford Bridge.
