How Chelsea could line up against West Ham United

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up for Monday night's Premier League London derby with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea could ensure that they end the gameweek in the top four of the Premier League table when they host West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

The Blues began the weekend level on points with Arsenal - who face Everton on Sunday - but neither Tottenham Hotspur nor Manchester United are in Premier League action.

Victory would guarantee that Chelsea sit in the Champions League places before turning their attention to European matters, then, although they face a West Ham side unbeaten in the last three editions of this fixture.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri could set his side up for the London derby.

Sarri has a difficult balance to strike after being handed a Monday game despite being in Europa League action on Thursday, but there may be more changes against Slavia Prague than there are against West Ham.

Supporters will be desperate to see Callum Hudson-Odoi start again after he impressed on his full Premier League debut last time out, and that performance may just be enough to keep him ahead of Willian and the doubtful Pedro.

Olivier Giroud scored from Hudson-Odoi's assist in that match and is expected to lead the line again with Gonzalo Higuain on the bench, while Eden Hazard is more likely to be rested on Thursday than Monday.

Barkley was an unused sub against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday night and so will provide some valuable fresh legs for the Blues, although there is bound to be a clamour for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to start again should he recover from the injury which forced him off in midweek.

Antonio Rudiger will be hopeful of a recall at the heart of the defence after being rested against the Seagulls, and Marcos Alonso could also return to the team after missing out in midweek due to a hamstring problem.
