Werder Bremen have completed a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old signed for the Blues in January but was immediately loaned back to Racing Genk.
Bremen's general manager Klaus Allofs confirmed the signing of De Bruyne after a medical in Germany and also said that the club have no option on a permanent transfer.
Allofs said: "We have Kevin for several months, we are glad that we can increase the quality in our squad with this commitment."
De Bruyne expressed his happiness at the prospect of regular playing time at Bremen.
He said: "Werder has a great tradition, playing in one of the best leagues in Europe with a full stadium and I want, with my new teammates, successful football."
De Bruyne saw his chances of playing at Stamford Bridge extremely limited this season with the signings of Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Oscar to bolster Chelsea's midfield options.
