Chelsea are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella during one of the upcoming transfer windows.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella as a potential transfer target.

When everyone is fit and available, the Blues are well stocked for options at left wing-back with Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri all potentially featuring in Thomas Tuchel's squad next season.

However, while Lyon possess an option to buy Emerson after his loan spell, there are only 17 months remaining on Alonso's contract at Stamford Bridge.

According to Goal, Chelsea may make an approach for Cucurella if they require more competition for Chilwell in the long term.

The 23-year-old has been excellent in his first Premier League campaign, making a total of 19 starts for an improving Seagulls side.

With the Spain international having a contract until 2026, Brighton remain in a strong position over his future, but much could depend on a transfer fee offered by Chelsea.
