Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is reportedly being lined up by Serie A outfit Roma as a loan signing in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old has found game time hard to come by under new Blues manager Antonio Conte and has started just two games this season, prompting speculation that he could be moved on next month.
According to Italian publication Il Tempo, Roma have made an approach for the Spaniard with a view to take him on a six-month loan ahead of a potential permanent transfer in the summer.
AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in recent months, although the delay of the club's sale to a Chinese firm until March means that their business in the mid-season window will be limited.
Fabregas moved to Stamford Bridge in a £28m deal from Barcelona in 2014.
