Chelsea are reportedly holding out for Juventus to make a move for Jorginho in order to fund the signing of Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz.
The Blues are rumoured to be leading the race for the Germany international as several other interested clubs have been put off by Leverkusen's large asking price.
A bid of at least £70m will be required to land Havertz and, according to The Mirror, Chelsea need to raise money before tabling an offer.
The report indicates that Jorginho could therefore hold the key to a transfer going through for Havertz, with Juventus supposedly interested in the outcast midfielder.
Juve have already moved to bring in Arthur from Barcelona ahead of next season, but Maurizio Sarri is said to be a big fan of Jorginho, having previously worked with him at Napoli and Chelsea.
Frank Lampard has bolstered his attacking ranks with the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, who have joined for a combined £85m.
