Striker Michy Batshuayi reportedly wants to stay and compete for a place in Frank Lampard's starting XI at Chelsea after spending recent seasons out on loan.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is reportedly willing to stay and fight for his place in Frank Lampard's starting XI.

The Belgian scored twice for Chelsea's development squad as they beat Liverpool in their Premier League 2 clash yesterday evening.

Frank Lampard was watching on and the Evening Standard report that Batshuayi will not push for a move as he seeks to displace Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham in the first-team squad.

The transfer window closes on September 2 in most other European countries, so the 25-year-old could yet depart if his situation changes.

Batshuayi has previously had loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.
