Dan Petrescu hoping to tempt Zlatan Ibrahimovic to China

Dan Petrescu says that he would be interested in bringing PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Chinese club Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty at the end of the season.

Former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu has revealed that he is hoping to ward off reported interest from the Blues and other top European clubs and instead lure Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to China to sign for Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty.

The Sweden international has been persistently linked with a move away from PSG at the end of the season, when his current contract in the French capital runs out, and his manager Laurent Blanc admitted on Thursday that he was unsure over the striker's future.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with moves to clubs such as Chelsea and his former team AC Milan, but former Blues defender Petrescu, now working as head coach of the Chinese club, says that he would like to bring the 34-year-old to Jiangsu after the club benefits from new investment in January.

Petrescu is quoted by The Sun as saying: "I do not know what will happen, but I am sure that we will invest money. From what I understand, we can bring in big players from Europe and could even spend on Ibrahimovic.

"I do not know too much because the new company will take over the club from January 1. It would be excellent if Ibrahimovic could come to China, but I do not know if he is in the mood for it."

Ibrahimovic has scored 17 goals in 23 matches for club and country this season.
