Chelsea are reportedly concerned by the lack of playing time that Patrick Bamford has received during his loan stint with Crystal Palace.
The England Under-21 international joined the Eagles for the season in the summer, but since then he has featured for just 16 minutes as a substitute in the Premier League.
That is believed to have alerted the Blues, who sent the 22-year-old to Selhurst Park in the hope that he would be exposed to regular action in the top flight.
According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea inserted a clause in the deal that will allow them to recall Bamford in January, which is a prospect that is now under consideration.
The report adds that midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has found himself in a similar situation at Napoli and he could also return to Stamford Bridge this winter.
