Report: Kenedy completes Newcastle United medical ahead of loan move

Kenedy completes his medical with Newcastle United ahead of joining from Chelsea on a season-long loan, according to a report.

Chelsea midfielder Kenedy is close to officially joining Newcastle United on a season-long loan after reportedly completing his medical.

The Brazilian wideman headed to the North-East on Monday afternoon to discuss personal terms and undergo tests on Tyneside.

Following his successful stint at St James' Park in the second half of last season, Kenedy will now rejoin the Magpies for the duration of 2018-19.

However, Sky Sports News suggests that there is no option in place for that move to be made permanent next summer.

Kenedy scored two goals in 13 appearances for Newcastle last season and will become the club's third summer signing, joining Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-yeung in making the switch.
