Islam Slimani, linked with Newcastle United and Chelsea this month, is reportedly on his way from Leicester City to Monaco on loan.

Leicester City are prepared to offload striker Islam Slimani to Monaco for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is out of favour at the King Power Stadium, featuring 17 times in all competitions this season - just two of those being Premier League starts.

Despite his lack of minutes Slimani has reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United, but the Foxes are unwilling to sell to a domestic rival for anything less than £20m.

Slimani could therefore end up at Monaco for the next four months, as the Daily Mail suggests that discussions over a loan move are currently ongoing.

The French champions are said to have been asked to pay £2.6m for the Algeria international, which is exactly double the amount they originally offered.
