Report: Marko Marin to return to Chelsea

A report claims that Marko Marin will return to Chelsea from his loan spell at Fiorentina in January.

Marko Marin will reportedly return to parent club Chelsea in January following an unsuccessful loan spell with Italian side Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012, but has spent each of the last two seasons out on loan.

The German struggled to settle at Sevilla last season, but earned a loan move to Fiorentina this summer.

Marin has failed to start a single league game for the Italian side this season, however, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder will return to his parent club early next month.

It is thought that Marin will again be sent on loan as he does not figure in the plans of Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
