Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has admitted that it was "an experience" to be considered for the Wolverhampton Wanderers job in the summer.
Davis was one of the main contenders for the vacant role at Molineux before Kenny Jackett was installed as the club's head coach, and Davis has revealed that he was "flattered" to be in contention for the position.
The 48-year-old told the Express & Star: "It's gone now, but it was an experience at the time. It was nice to be thought of that way by a big club like Wolves. It was a little bit flattering.
"But I'm at Crewe and I'm more than glad to be here."
Davis will be hoping to take Crewe out of the League One relegation zone when they travel to Wolves on Boxing Day.
