Crystal Palace sign Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer

Crystal Palace announce the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, who joins Alan Pardew's side on a free transfer until the end of the season.

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer.

The ex-Gunners and AC Milan star has joined the South London club on a contract until the end of the season, after being released from a second spell at Arsenal during the summer.

"Crystal Palace is a very ambitious club with great players and I am looking forward to being part of that squad," Flamini told the official Crystal Palace website following the announcement of his move.

"It is a very interesting challenge for me and I am very excited to be here. I have had chance to discuss the move here with Alan Pardew and he really helped me make my decision."

Flamini has been included in the Eagles' 25-man Premier League squad, where he will wear the number four shirt.
