Team News: Thomas Vermaelen to make Barcelona debut

Thomas Vermaelen earns his Barcelona debut for the visit of Deportivo La Coruna to the Camp Nou.

Thomas Vermaelen will make his long-awaited Barcelona debut after being named in tonight's XI for the visit of Deportivo La Coruna on the final day of the La Liga season.

The Belgian defender, who joined from Arsenal last summer, has endured an injury-hit first season in Catalonia, but will finally make his bow this evening.

Likewise, goalkeeper Jordi Masip earns his Liga debut for the newly-crowned champions, with the 26-year-old replacing Claudio Bravo between the sticks.

The visit of Deportivo represents Xavi's final game at the Camp Nou after 17 years of service, with the 34-year-old partnering Sergi Roberto and Rafinha in midfield.

Luis Suarez drops out with a hamstring injury, allowing Pedro a rare starting berth beside Lionel Messi and Neymar in a three-pronged attack.

Barcelona: Masip; Bartra, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Adriano; Roberto, Rafinha, Xavi; Pedro, Neymar, Messi

Deportivo: Fabricio; Laure, Lopo, Sidnei, Canella; Bergantinos, Borges, Dominguez, Salomao; Lucas, Cavaleiro
