Former England captain David Beckham believes that the national team's younger players will relish the opportunity to play at this summer's World Cup finals.
Manager Roy Hodgson has named a relatively inexperienced squad for the tournament in Brazil, but Beckham, who made 115 appearances for his country, has revealed that he is impressed with the 23-man selection.
The 39-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I think that it is a really good selection. I think Roy has done really well since he has come in as the manager of England. It's a great job to have but it's a tough job.
"You've got players that are playing at the top of their game, and while there are a lot of young players, they have had great seasons.
"These young players have been playing in the biggest league in the world so there are no players that are going to go on to this stage and be affected by it."
England begin their World Cup campaign against Italy on June 14.
