Joe Hart: 'Confidence is high among England camp'

Joe Hart reveals that the England squad is 'feeling good' ahead of their World Cup opener against Italy.

England goalkeeper Joe Hart has revealed that the squad is 'feeling good' ahead of their World Cup opener against Italy next weekend.

The Three Lions arrived in Brazil on Sunday following their goalless draw with Honduras on Saturday night.

With all of their warm-up fixtures now out of the way, Hart admits that he and his international teammates are confident of doing well at the tournament this summer.

"We feel good. We feel like we're doing the right things," he told the Football Association's official website. "We feel like we've had a great three weeks together.

"We really feel like a team – a good strong English team going into a tournament with every chance to express ourselves and do well."

England get their World Cup campaign underway against Italy in Manaus this Saturday.
