PSV Eindhoven director Marcel Brands 'flattered' by Everton interest

PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands says that he is flattered by Everton's interest in him.

PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands has admitted that he is flattered by Everton's interest in him.

The Eredivisie club has confirmed that the Merseysiders have made an approach for the Dutchman to bring him to Goodison Park in a similar capacity.

Brands made it clear that he takes Everton's interest as a compliment but expressed uncertainty about whether he is willing to swap the Netherlands for England.

"Everton? It is flattering," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "But I have said no more than yes in recent years. I also said yes to PSV only the second time.

"I have a very nice job here and a beautiful life. The question is whether I want to give it up. I have never been a club hopper."

Everton are yet to confirm whether current director of football Steve Walsh will remain at the club next season.
