Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray reportedly took charge of training at managerless Fulham this morning.
The West Londoners have been without a manager for almost a month following the decision to part company with Kit Symons.
Talks with Steve Clarke recently broke down, while Mark Warburton, Slavisa Jokanovic and Gary Rowett have also been linked with the Craven Cottage vacancy.
However, according to Press Association Sport, 55-year-old Gray is now the frontrunner to replace Symons following his presence at the club's Motspur Park training base.
Gray, who has also coached at Southampton and Northampton Town, is now the overwhelming favourite with the bookmakers to be Fulham's next manager.
