Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in Fulham midfielder Moussa Dembele.
It has also been suggested that the Red Devils believe they can land the Belgium international before the start of the new season.
Fulham are apparently aware of Sir Alex Ferguson's desire to swoop for Dembele, who was originally signed as a forward before moving into a central-midfield role.
The 25-year-old shone in his new role last season, sparking interest from some of the leading Premier League sides. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also said to be monitoring the situation closely.
The Cottagers will demand at least £15 million for their star player, who joined in 2010 from AZ Alkmaar.
