A report claims that Fulham are close to signing Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano on a season-long loan.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is reportedly close to securing the signing of Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano on a season-long loan.

The 28-year-old, who joined the French outfit in 2011, has struggled to hold down a regular spot under new coach Elie Baup this season.

According to The Express, the Cottagers have already spoken to the player, with a deal expected to be announced next month.

Morgan's younger brother Romain Amalfitano currently plays for Newcastle United.
