Getafe thank fans for support

Getafe thank their fans for their support during Friday's 3-3 draw with Granada.

Getafe have thanked their fans for their support during Friday's 3-3 draw with Granada in Madrid.

Ahead of the La Liga clash, new head coach Cosmin Contra called on the supporters to back their team in the final months of the season.

That call was answered on Friday as the league fixture, which left Getafe in 17th position in the table, was one of the best-attended games of the season at the Coliseum.

"Now to keep working hard, to remedy and correct every aspect and keep thinking that we have to get points, because Getafe will remain in the Primera next season," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Many thanks to all our supporters, who have made the Coliseum relive the special days that we've all enjoyed so much."

Getafe are just two points outside of the relegation zone.
