Hamburger SV confirm the signing of defender Matthias Ostrzolek from Bundesliga rivals Augsburg on a three-year deal.

Hamburger SV have confirmed the signing of defender Matthias Ostrzolek from Bundesliga rivals Augsburg.

The 24-year-old has signed for the Rothosen until 2017, but no details of the fee have been disclosed.

The club announced the transfer on their Twitter page.

Ostrzolek joins ex-Arsenal player Johan Djourou at Hamburg, who narrowly survived relegation from the German top division last season.
