Caretaker boss Eddie May will keep Hibernian focused while club representatives are in England looking for a new manager.
The head of the Easter Road academy has been in charge of the first team for the last two games with head coach Neil Lennon officially departing the club last Wednesday.
Ahead of the trip to Celtic Park in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Wednesday, May said: "I think they are down in England speaking to people, we should have an update maybe by the end of the week, definitely for the beginning of next week.
"Definitely (in charge tomorrow), whether Saturday it all depends who they identify, speak to and if they come to an agreement to be the new manager.
"I really look forward to the new guy coming in and everyone can get back to their roles and do what they have been brought to the club to do.
"We have an easy job, me Grant (Murray) and Allan (Combe), just to prepare the team for games that we have done.
"It keeps them focused but we are all looking forward to a new manager coming in because it is a very good football club. One that wants to be challenging for trophies and trying to get into Europe.
"We have a fantastic fan base so we are looking forward to the new man coming in, everyone getting behind him and moving forward.
"The boys are looking forward to the game tomorrow night, against a very good Celtic team. We are looking forward to competing with them."
There has reportedly been over 100 applicants for the post which comes as no surprise to the former Hibs and Falkirk midfielder.
May said: "You look at the training centre, the stadium, the players we have got, that is what attracted the previous two managers, Alan Stubbs and Neil and both of them brought great success to the football club.
"Let's hope the new man can do that as well and if they do everyone will benefit from that."
