Roberto Mancini "absolutely livid" over Inter Milan collapse

Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini says that he is "absolutely livid" with his troops following the 2-1 defeat to Udinese at San Siro.

Roberto Mancini has said that he is "absolutely livid" with his Inter Milan team for throwing away a lead in tonight's 2-1 home defeat to Udinese.

Mauro Icardi had fired the Nerazzurri into a 1-0 half-time lead, but Bruno Fernandes equalised on the hour mark before Cyril Thereau struck the winner 11 minutes later.

"For about 15 minutes we had a blackout in which we allowed Udinese to score and conceded two goals – although one of them let's be honest we basically scored against ourselves," Mancini told Sky Sport Italia.

"I am absolutely livid with this defeat, but very happy with the first 45 minutes. I know it doesn't count for a damn thing now, but that first half is what I want Inter to be.

"This must remain a real team and not just collapse when they concede a goal. It's not possible for them to get so downhearted so quickly."

Inter, who are yet to register a Serie A victory since Mancini returned to the club last month, sit 12th in Italy's top flight.
