Roberto Mancini pleased with draw against Sampdoria

Roberto Mancini says that Inter Milan achieved an "acceptable" result by holding Sampdoria to a draw in their Serie A match.

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has said that his side's 1-1 draw with Sampdoria in Serie A this afternoon was an "acceptable result"

Luis Muriel had given the Blucerchiati the lead, but an equaliser from Ivan Perisic saw Inter take a point and move back to the top of the table.

"We allowed two or three clear chances on the counter in the first half," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"After the break, with Muriel's counter the game totally changed and we could've won. We got a point against an excellent side and this result is acceptable, really.

"In the first half Sampdoria put 10 men behind the ball and closed the spaces down. Perisic created danger going down the right and we could've made more of that. I introduced another forward in the second half and things went better."

Inter have won five of their opening seven league matches.
