Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has revealed his delight after scoring his 100th and 101st Serie A goals against AC Milan on Saturday night.

Higuain scored both of Juve's goals at San Siro as the Italian champions moved ahead of Napoli to the top of the Serie A table on goal difference.

The Argentine international thought that he had moved onto 100 Italian league strikes in Juve's 4-1 win over SPAL on Wednesday night, but he had a second disallowed.

The 29-year-old has claimed that it was 'his destiny' to reach the landmark against Milan.

"When they disallowed the goal against SPAL, we said it was my destiny to score the 100th at San Siro. Now it's 101 - not bad," Higuain told Sky Sport Italia.

"Milan perhaps started stronger, but we played like a great team and the goal got us back on track. I think we deserved the victory.

"The coach said games never end early at San Siro and that is absolutely true. We stayed concentrated for the full 90 minutes and made only one mistake, when they hit the bar."

Higuain has now scored seven times in 15 appearances for Juventus this season.
