Roma have dropped their interest in Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to a report.
The Foxes star has been courted by the Giallorossi ever since revealing that he wanted to leave the King Power Stadium at the end of last season.
Roma's pursuit of Mahrez, however, saw several bids thought to be in the region of £30m turned down by Leicester, and the Italians reportedly set them a deadline of August 15 to make a decision on the future of their player.
According to Goal.com, Roma sporting director Monchi has decided to turn his attention elsewhere after the East Midlanders refused to budge on their valuation of £40m for the Algerian.
Mahrez has scored 35 goals in over 100 appearances for Leicester since a £560,000 move from French Ligue 2 side Le Havre in 2014, and played 90 minutes in his side's 4-3 defeat at Arsenal on Friday.
