Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has criticised Liverpool striker Luis Suarez for refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand before Saturday's meeting between the two sides.
United won the match 2-1, with Suarez grabbing a goal, but the build up was dominated by the prospect of the first meeting between the Uruguayan and Frenchman since the striker was banned for eight matches for racially abusing the left-back.
Despite both managers insisting that there wouldn't be an issue, Suarez's action stirred up fresh controversy, and Sky Sports pundit Neville believes that he was wrong to do it.
"Obviously it's quite clear that Louis Suarez has completely blanked Patrice Evra," he said.
"I'm not sure it's the wisest thing for him to do. I'm not sure that he has helped his football club. I think that Kenny Dalglish is now put in a position after the game where he has to defend him again."
United's victory lifted them to the top of the Premier League table, one point clear of rivals Manchester City.
