Andrew Robertson: 'We have to keep winning'

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson says that his team must stay on the tails of Manchester City in the Premier League table.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has said that his team must stay on the tails of Manchester City as they look to move ahead of the reigning champions in the Premier League table.

The Reds have won 12 and drawn three of their 15 league fixtures this season but are still behind City in the table, with Pep Guardiola's side sitting two points ahead.

Robertson has insisted that his side must "keep putting the pressure on City" as they look to stay in the title race over the festive period.

"When you look at it and say 'you'd be unbeaten at the start of December', you [think] you'd be at the top of the league - but we're not. We're still chasing City," Robertson told Sky Sports News.

"It's been a good start for us, and we need to keep going, keep focusing on what we're doing instead of looking at anyone else. We're controlling what we're doing right now, and if we keep putting the pressure on City, I'm sure it will go right to the end."

Liverpool are next in Premier League action away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
