Leeds United are reportedly set to open contract negotiations with teenager Archie Gray amid rising interest in the 17-year-old from Liverpool.

The midfielder has emerged as a prominent figure at Elland Road this season, establishing himself as a key member of Daniel Farke's squad by featuring in 17 matches across all competitions.

Gray has showcased his versatility by excelling in both defensive midfield and right-back positions.

According to a report from Football Insider, Liverpool, Everton and Crystal Palace are all closely monitoring the 17-year-old.

However, the report also adds that Leeds are prepared to make every effort to retain his services at the club as they chase promotion back to the Premier League.

Gray put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the club in March this year, and his current deal is understood to run until the summer of 2025.

The teenager, part of a distinguished Leeds lineage, follows in the footsteps of his father, Andy Gray, who played 38 games across two spells in his career, and uncles Frank and Eddie, who were both players under Don Revie in the 1960s and 1970s.

Leeds return from the international break with a short trip to take on Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United in the Championship on November 24.
