Report: Liverpool slap £134m price tag on Philippe Coutinho

A report suggests that Liverpool have told Barcelona to pay £134m if they wish to sign Brazil international Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool have slapped a £134m price tag on Philippe Coutinho in a bid to ward off interest from Barcelona, according to a report.

The Catalan giants are already thought to have had one bid rejected for the Brazil international and are now preparing a second, which could be worth up to £80m.

However, The Sun believes that Liverpool are holding firm and have reportedly told Barca to part with the world-record sum of money should they wish to secure his services.

The report also suggests that Coutinho is desperate to leave Anfield and head to Camp Nou, and is believed to have held showdown talks with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Barca are thought to be so interested in the 25-year-old due to Neymar being heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
