Liverpool are reportedly still interested in a move for Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch before the transfer window closes.
The Reds are yet to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum following his summer departure to Paris Saint-Germain, with Jurgen Klopp instead handing opportunities to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harvey Elliott centrally.
With only five days remaining of the summer transfer window, the prospects of further business being done at Liverpool appears slim, but the Reds were tipped to move for Gravenberch earlier in the summer.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 19-year-old remains on the radar of Anfield chiefs and he could yet move to Merseyside within the next week, but a move in 2022 is far more likely.
Gravenberch, who claimed three goals and five assists from 32 appearances in the 2020-21 Eredivisie campaign, has already started both of his side's games against NEC Nijmegen and FC Twente in the current campaign.
The teenager, who also made two appearances for the Netherlands at Euro 2020, remains contracted to Erik ten Hag's side until 2023.
