Report: Liverpool switch focus to Neto

A report claims that Liverpool want to sign Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto.

Liverpool have reportedly dropped the interest in Victor Valdes and will instead pursue Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto.

The Premier League club were expected to complete the free signing of former Barcelona stopper Valdes before the end of the year, but a move for the experienced Spaniard has stalled.

According to Goal.com, Liverpool have reservations about signing Valdes due to the severity of the 32-year-old's recent knee injury.

The same report has claimed that the English club will switch their attention to Neto, who is out of contract at the end of this season.

Current number one Simon Mignolet has drawn heavy criticism this season.
