West Bromwich Albion reportedly make Liverpool striker Danny Ings one of their main transfer targets during the January window.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made Danny Ings one of their main transfer targets for the January window.

Baggies boss Alan Pardew is known to be looking for attacking reinforcements when the window opens next month, having seen his side score just two goals during his six matches at the helm.

West Brom's overall tally of just 14 goals scored is the second-lowest in the entire division, making signing a new striker Pardew's priority.

The Independent reports that Ings has been identified as a top target, with the former Burnley striker well down the pecking order at Anfield.

Ings's time at Liverpool has been blighted by a series of serious injuries, limiting the one-time England international to just 14 appearances during his two and a half years at the club.

The Reds are understood to be willing to sell Ings in January, while the player himself is eager to find more regular first-team football.

However, the Baggies are likely to face competition for his signature from West Ham United and Newcastle United.

West Brom have also been offered Aleksandar Mitrovic on a temporary basis, but Ings is thought to be their preferred option.
