Craig Mackail-Smith joins Luton Town on two-year contract

Former Brighton & Hove Albion striker Craig Mackail-Smith joins League Two side Luton Town on a two-year deal.

Luton Town have completed the signing of former Brighton & Hove Albion striker Craig Mackail-Smith.

The Scotland international, 31, has penned a two-year deal at Kenilworth Road.

Mackail-Smith scored 24 goals in 122 games for Brighton before leaving the club at the end of last season.

"I scored a few goals last season but nowhere near as many as I wanted," he told Luton's official website. "That's my job, I love doing it. I've come here to score as many goals as I can and help push this team to win the league.

"I feel this club has a fantastic chance to push through the leagues and I want to be a part of that. I want to enjoy my football again and I know that this club is going places."

Luton start the new League Two season with a trip to Accrington Stanley on August 8.
