Fernando Tissone suffers serious knee injury

A serious knee injury will keep Malaga midfielder Fernando Tissone out of action for the next six to eight months.

Malaga midfielder Fernando Tissone will be out of action for the next six to eight months after tests revealed that he had suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury in a training session on Wednesday morning, with his club immediately sending the Argentine for medical examinations.

The results revealed that the experienced midfielder, who will require surgery, faces a period of six to eight months on the sidelines.

Tissone has made 28 appearances for Malaga this season.
