Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has blamed his side's 0-0 draw with Norwich City on having to field unfit strikers.
Despite scoring over 100 goals this season, City failed to find the net for the second game in a row as they were held by the Canaries.
Pellegrini told reporters after the game: "Everyone is talking about our team, that we score so many goals but that we concede goals in defence, but, I repeat, the most difficult thing is to score goals.
"[Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo] are not 100%. Dzeko had an ankle in very bad condition and, in the last three weeks, Negredo has had a problem with his shoulder but they had to play in that condition."
"They defended very well. Maybe it was a good opportunity [to go top] but we are still only two points behind the leaders."
The draw leaves City third in the Premier League.
