Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte has reportedly already undergone a successful medical with Manchester City ahead of a proposed £57m January move.
The 23-year-old was omitted from Les Leones' squad for Friday night's 1-1 draw at home to Eibar, increasing speculation that he is close to finalising his big-money switch.
Bilbao boss Jose Angel Ziganda admitted after the match that Laporte was overlooked because he has "not rested well" over the past few days, and Spanish outlet Marca suggests that confirmation of the transfer could be made as early as Monday.
Laporte is said to have undergone tests at a clinic in the centre of Bilbao earlier this week after his club side accepted a bid from Man City, which would make the centre-back their record signing.
The report claims that the France age-grade international will now say goodbye to his Athletic teammates for one last time and head to Manchester on Monday, when personal terms are expected to be completed.
