Alf Inge Haaland suggests that his son Erling Braut Haaland could be with Manchester City for a maximum of four years before moving on to play in another country.

Alf Inge Haaland has hinted that his son Erling Braut Haaland could leave Manchester City after four years.

The 22-year-old has started his career with Man City in impressive fashion after joining the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Having scored 14 goals in 10 appearances, Haaland has already become an important part of Pep Guardiola's side, who are yet to lose in the league this season.

Despite starting the campaign in superb form and having a contract until June 2027, Haaland's father has suggested his son could be with the club for a "maximum" of four years when speaking in the documentary called 'Haaland: The Big Decision'.

As quoted by The Times, the 49-year-old said: "I think Erling wants to test out his capabilities in every league. Then he can stay in every league for three to four years maximum.

"He could have 2½ years in Germany, 2½ in England, and then in Spain, Italy, France, right? We do not know if it will be like that, but I think he would like to test his abilities in the big leagues."

In the short term, Haaland will be looking to continue his fine goalscoring form when he features in his first-ever Manchester derby on Sunday.
